Machine Access Code for base

My network is MAC protected, which means that I need the machine access code for my base. I was able to get it from customer service. Now I want to install a different system. I have asked three times for the MAC address (linked to the serial number), but cannot get an answer. How do I get to a service rep that has the authority to access the MAC address?

Just cut to the chase and git'er done...

Disable the MAC filter, connect the base to WiFi, grab the MAC, reenable the filter, then add the base MAC to the list.

Personally, I don't bother with MAC filtering but FYI, the MAC on one of my cameras does not match the partial MAC that makes up the serial number of the camera.

Hi all,

While whoaru99's method to get the MAC address of your equipment will certainly always work, there is another way. For any SimpliSafe cameras, you should be able to call or email our Support Team and they should be able to provide that information for you. If you are trying to find the MAC address for your SimpliSafe Base Station then you don't even need to contact support as that information can be found through the menu on your Keypad. To find it, follow these steps:

  • Press menu on the Keypad and enter your Master PIN
  • Select System Settings
  • Scroll down to the bottom and select Diagnostics
  • Click on the right side of the screen twice to get to the WiFi screen
  • This screen will list the MAC address for your SimpliSafe Base Station
