Voice prompts / announcements are cut off / incomplete
My base station does not always announce the complete voice prompts when arming home and when announcing the various sensor names in test mode. For example, I'll press "Home" on the keypad, and the base station will say something like "Sim..." or "Simplisafe" or even just "Sss" instead of the full announcement which is "Simplisafe On, Home." When in test mode, it'll say something like "Master..." instead of "Master Bedroom, Motion Sensor." The completeness of the announcements vary. Strange thing is when I arm using the app, so far the announcements have been complete. I have the latest firmware updated one week ago.
Anyone else having the same issue?
| This issue has been resolved as of Base Station firmware 2.14. If you are experiencing this issue, please update your Base Station to the latest version. |

I have been having the same issue of voice prompt being cut off. It started about one to two weeks ago.

I have this same issue. Plus I notice the cameras are constantly resetting. I suspect the hub is malfunctioning .

Same issue here. There are truncated phrases coming from the base station. Hoping for a fix shortly.

I had the same issue so I rebooted the base station and it seems to have fixed the issue so far. Just unplug the unit from power and use a small screwdriver to get to the batteries and remove 1 battery to reboot.

Rebooting the base station seemed to work for me for a few days. Until I got the Automatic Test Signal, then the voice prompts were cut off again. I've just reset it again and it seems to be working with full voice prompts again. Will keep checking.
Could the Automatic test signal be the culprit?

Same issue for months. Now the voice prompts don’t work at all.

My base station is still having this issue, even after performing the battery reset multiple times. That never fixed it for me, even temporarily. Strange that my previous SS3 base station that I returned did not have this issue, even running the same software/firmware (Sept 2022 release date).
This only happens with the keypad for me. Never happens when arming/disarming remotely using the iphone app. Perhaps the real issue lies with the keypad?
Is anyone using keyfobs to arm/disarm, and if so, have you noticed this issue? I have no keyfobs to check.
Also, I see that most people posting here are new forum members with one or a few messages. Does that mean, perhaps, that only newer customers/systems are affected? I would have expected a lot more posts here from long-term forum members if their older systems were affected.

If it helps any - disconnecting the WiFi from the keypad then readding it fixed it for me.

Definitely been having the same issue recently as well, base station barely speaks anymore. Hope Simplisafe can roll out an update soon.

Restarting base station again didn’t work. Still getting partial voice prompts. Will try disconnecting Wi-Fi by keypad.

My system is a little over a year old now and was cutting off prompts when using both the key pad and the key fob. I had noticed that if I hit the button (off or home) a second time it did the full prompt. I performed the power reset with battery removal from the base station about a week ago and so far it is working as normal.

I tried disconnecting the Wi-Fi from the keypad, but now am not able to see any Wi-Fi networks. I’ve tried restarting the base station and keypad and Wi-Fi network, but the base station is not detecting any network now. Is there a way to reset network connections?
