Base Station Green Light Without a Video Doorbell Pro

We have been investigating incidents of the Base Station showing a green light for an unknown reason. The Base Station should only show a green light when the Video Doorbell Pro’s button is pressed.

We have seen some users report that they see the green light even if their Video Doorbell Pro has not been activated, or that they see the light despite not having a Video Doorbell Pro at all. We have determined that this has no negative or other impact on the rest of your system.

Our engineering team would like to receive as many Base Stations exhibiting this behavior as possible for further investigation. If you are experiencing this behavior, please comment below so we can get you in touch with the team.

Hi all,

In our engineering team's investigation, it was found that a replacement Base Station will resolve this issue. If anyone is experiencing this issue, please contact our Support team so our agents can send a new Base Station your way.

My base station suddenly beeped and went to a light green color.  It has been light blue since installation several months ago.  I tried to clear the light green glitch by arming, faulting, disarming, and unplugging with no success.  I do not have a video door bell.

my base unit started flash a green light today. I do not have a video doorbell pro.

@michaelpsofimis Thank you for reporting this! We have submitted your details to our engineering team to look into further.

In the meantime, if you look at your Keypad, do you see an error message on the screen? It sounds like your system's Trouble Signal is sounding. The Trouble Signal goes off whenever the Base Station detects a potential issue with the system - like if a device is offline or has a low battery. If this is in fact the Trouble Signal, the Keypad should tell you what the error is. Once resolved, the beeping sound should stop.

I also have a green base station and none of my doorbell chime. When I look the keypad doesn’t seem to me connecting with the base station

I am having this issue along with one of my cameras not detecting motion. I have recharged the camera, but can't get it online.

My base station is solid green constantly and I do not have a doorbell, only temp sensors, door sensors, and an indoor camera I have not connected.

Mine did this today (and I do not have the doorbell, just door sensors, motion sensor and glass break sensor) - solid green after I disarmed it.  No errors or messages in the app or on the keypad and everything seems to be working normally.  After I armed it on Home and disarmed again, the light went away (did that twice - once with keypad and once with keyfob).

my base station suddenly beeped and went to a light green color.  Since installation a few months ago, it has been a light blue.  I have no video doorbell or any video cameras, just 4 entry sensors.  I armed the system, caused an entry fault, disarmed the fault, and the base station went back to light green.  I unplugged the base station for 40 seconds and when plugged back in, it went to light green again.

Hey @bgtrowbridge here is a link to an article outlining all of the colors and what they mean at the Base Station.

One thing I am showing is that the Wi-Fi is disconnected I would recommend starting there. Secondly I would recommend reaching out to our Tech Support regarding your system's sensors.

My system started chirping this morning and woke me up.  I got up and investigated.  It continued to chirp and Thea green light was on the home station.  This lasted for several minutes and then stopped.  It returned to its normal “off” mode.

My base unit has been a solid green light for a few weeks.  I tried unplugging it and plugging back in but remains green.  Seems to be working ok

Hey @sparkyllc157

You can use this link to check on the different colors and what they mean.

I would advise giving tech support a call and having them do a check up on your system to make sure everything is working behind the scenes as well.
