Duplicate doorbell camera notifications

Whenever there's a doorbell event - motion or a ring - I get 2 notifications from the app on my phone.

My wife has the app installed on her phone but she only gets a single notification.

I must have something configured differently in my app but I can't find what it is. Any suggestions about what would cause this?

Same for me. Started as double a couple months ago. Now it's triple ;(

Was double.  Now triple notifications.  Tried uninstalling and re-installing with no luck. Only happens with the doorbell cam notifications.

I search for this issue and don't see a resolution... I see tons of the same issue.
Its November 2020 .... let's move on this.

Hi all,

Thank you all for bringing this issue to our attention. Our app development team is looking into this issue. While uninstalling and reinstalling the app would normally correct an issue like this, that doesn't appear to be working. As soon as we have any updates, we'll try to let you all know.

Is there any update on this fix????  I had reported it last month because I was receiving two notifications for one motion or one doorbell ring and it wasn't known what the issue was.  Last week, I started getting 3 notifications.  I have done an uninstall and reinstall of the app and that did not fix the issue.  This has been going on for quite some time, so it would be nice to get an update on when it will be fixed.  Clearly, I am not the only customer with this issue, so a good response from simplisafe seems appropriate. Thank you.

Same issue here: duplicate alerts for only the doorbell camera. Started when upgraded to iPhone 12 Pro Max. Very annoying.

I used to get 2, then 3, now I get FOUR alerts per camera... please fix this =/

I use an Android Moto z3 btw.
I am having the same issue. I believe this problem started occurring in mid-October, possibly due to a Simplisafe update.

I am currently up to 5 notification per event which has negatively affected the performance of my Samsung S20+. Because of this, I have left my Simplisafe system unarmed more frequently which has resulted in decreased feelings of safety and product satisfaction. It has also increased the risk of my home being burglarized - or worse.

Simplisafe, please indicate that you are working on a resolution ASAP or we (customers who have been affected) may be forced to take our business elsewhere. I'm already shopping around.
This has been happening to me as well. It started as 2 notifications on my Pixel 3 XL and has jumped to 3 on my 4a 5G. The 3 XL was factory reset and mailed away so it's not a factor any longer. Really wondering why this keeps happening.
As of yesterday 12/15/2020 I am now getting 6 notifications for each event with my camera. It stutters until it stops. I have an android. And it shows the number 6 over the app. But it is only 1 event.

This is clearly a Simplisafe system issue as it's happening on both iOS and Android (platform agnostic).

The issues seems to be getting worse for many as well.
