iPhone notifications

Well, with the latest iOs update to 17.1.1, the simplisafe notification for any activity (motion, alarm trigger, alarm arm/disarm, etc) is now a simple "BOOP". That's it. Nothing else. So it has become basically useless as a notification. Why in god's name isn't there an option to change the notification sound in the simplisafe app?  This is literally insane and I can't be the only one having this issue. FIX THIS PROBLEM PLEASE IMMEDIATELY!!

A feature request for custom notification tones for the iOS app has been submitted to our dev team. Once we hear more from them on this request, an update will be given in this thread.

I would get a tone on my iPhone when the camera at the front door or the over my garage indicated motion which notified me that someone was either approaching the house or approaching the front door that seems not to be working now. Is that due to the update to the iOS system

@pkaschmitter Whenever Silent Mode on your iPhone is turned off and a camera detects motion, your phone should still make a sound to notify you. The notification tone on iOS devices is Rebound.

 

If you no longer hear anything, we recommend toggling the Notification Sound setting for the SimpliSafe app off and back on again. You can do this in your device by going to Settings > SimpliSafe > Notifications and then toggle Sounds off and on.

We r all having the same problem.  They better fix it back to the way it was or I’m getting a different alarm system

Does SimpliSafe have a device that would detect the sound from the fire alarm in my senior living apartment and then immediately send an alert to my iPhone via the facilities WiFi?

Is it possible to turn off iphone notifications for one of my cameras when the system is off? I don't need to know when I or one of my house members goes into the back garden when we're home and the alerts are really annoying!
