How to connect cameras to Netgear 970 which has consolidated SSID
I have a Gen 3 System with several cameras. My current router which is 7 years old has separate SSID for 2.4 & 5.0 connections. No problem with that. I am looking to get a Netgear 970 Mesh router which supports. 2.4, 5.0, and 6.0 bands and generally uses a single SSID. Will I be able to connect my cameras to this unified SSID? I have picked up something on other forums about using IOT which can have a separate SSID and be dedicated to a unique band (2.4 in this case). Has anyone else done this?

I have an old Orbi RBK53, it had no problems with OD cameras or doorbells. Yours will have way more settings than mine though.
Best bet if you feel secure about it, is to name the SSID the same and use the same password.
All your hardware "should" just connect. Barring some weird setting. Make sure to set WPA2, don't know if they ever made SS3 WPA3 compatible.
If it has an iOT band, that'd be 2.4ghz, use that. Same, SSID and password if possible and secure.

@skyking_1 Your cameras should connect to the 2.4GHz band on the unified SSID. But if you run into any hiccups, you can also set up a guest network that broadcasts at 2.4GHz and connect your cameras to it.
