2-in-1 Video Doorbell and Smart Lock
Dear SimpliSafe Team,
I am very interested in a security system, but I have yet to find a provider that offers the devices I need. I appreciate that SimpliSafe started their company by meeting an unmet need, so I am sharing my request in hopes of encouraging you to meet needs unmet by all of the current security company offerings.
Here is what I am looking for:
- A video doorbell deadbolt lock with keypad entry, fingerprint reader, and face recognition, along with a camera that moves to detect movement.
- An outdoor driveway sensor/camera that works 100% of the time for my long driveway.
- A smoke, carbon monoxide, and radon detector.
- Outdoor cameras with reliable flood lights to illuminate my driveway and walkways.
- A sensor to turn on my porch light as I approach my doors, possibly integrated with request #1.
- An outdoor gate sensor to notify me if someone opens my gate, ideally more affordable than request #2.
- All SimpliSafe devices should be compatible with Apple HomeKit.
- Guest Access - like you get with smart locks.

Thanks for considering SimpliSafe! A few of these suggestions have already been requested by other users in the Community, like an Outdoor Camera with a floodlight (#4), the ability to expand our devices to IoT (#5), an outdoor Entry Sensor (#6), and Apple Home Kit (#7). If any of these requests are brought into development, we will post an update in their respective thread.
Regarding #8, Guest Access, each SimpliSafe system can have 4 Custom PINs that allows you to disarm your system and unlock the Smart Lock, but it doesn't let you made any changes to your system, which makes it great for family and friends. Is that what you were looking for?
And regarding requests 1-3, we will send them over to our devs. We ask to have one post per product request in the Community for tracking purposes. I changed the title of this post to reflect your first request, but if you could please make an individual post for requests 2 and 3 we can begin tracking them as well!

I don't work here, although they should pay me. 😂 Doughnuts and coffee? Lol I'm teasing of course.
Radon testing is probably only foolproof with actual radon testing as you may already know.
But a properly calibrated electronic radon tester might catch above 4 picocuries. There is no known safe level, so even lower values should be mitigated.
Not on my worry list currently.
I'll still say;
Professional mitigation is the only reliable way to reduce elevated radon readings.
All the other wishes are "probably" DIY from various sources and can be done if one is into home automation, DIY, such as Home Assistant and want to have local control over their system, like me.
But hey, I could be wrong. Wait for the official answer.
