How do I change my credit card info for monthly billing?

@Captain - just in case it isn't apparent, I've just been poking at you so karma would strike and you would server me a LARGE portion of "I told you so" pie when SS delivers the camera(s) by the end of the month.

@General, it is apparent, taken as good fun between friends.  The forums can get a bit boring at times and find small charity bets on Simplisafe product releases fits the bill.  Like I said, win or lose, I will still make the contribution. That said, I really believe the video doorbell will be in June, or at least shortly thereafter.

@7 - use the WONDERFUL search function and find my question on another thread on whether or not SS is using the Gregorian calendar, since CEO did say 2018 (I believe).

@seven, @General, back to my comment keeping the forums fun... knew I could count on both of you! :-)  Since a year in our bet wasn't specified, I guess I could state it was 2025 but that wouldn't be fair... 2018, with approximately 24 days to go, General!

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. There is no menu button (3 lines) anywhere. It should not be this hard to change my credit card info. I hate to call in because I'm on hold for at least 20 minutes any time I call. I'm doing this from a PC. It seems like any problem I run in to is such a hassle to get fixed. When the system is working fine, it's great. Any problem, and it takes forever to get help, or even something little like changing a credit card is a hassle. Very frustrating.

If you're logged into the Dashboard on a PC, it may look different depending on how big your browser window is. You'll see the ‚ò∞ Menu button when it's small, and the full expanded menu when it's large.

In either case, you would just need to select the Monitoring section and look for the Credit Card section at the top.

@Johnny M., don't forget the "how to" videos we were requesting for the new CRC.  One picture, or video, is worth a thousand words....and maybe a bit less of phone calls into your call center.

I'm sorry about that inaccurate information. You do not need Interactive Monitoring to update your payment information.

You just need to find the Monitoring section on the Dashboard. On the Smartphone app, it's under Settings > Location Profile > Plan Type.

If you want to add a new Credit Card, you just need to click the Add a new Credit Card option which should appear in the window titled Choose Payment Method.

Johnny M doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about.  The app, the internet does not allow you to change.  It tells you at the end, check your internet connection.  This seems to be done so you have to call in, and they can upsell you.  Next call to the Federal Trade Commission.

@ucfknight340, been a customer over 5 years and SS has never tried to up sell me (or the dozen or so customers I know) anything.  SS is far from perfect, but used car salesman tactics isn't one of them.  Suggest you try calling SS first before the FTC.

Click on the word "Monitoring" on the left side.  It's not intuitive, because the menu looks TOO simple and you don;t think you can click on it since it looks like you don't have the option to monitor and there is a "upgrade" button.  But you CAN click on monitoring.  So click on it and you'll be able to update stuff.

I am not on the interactive plan (first gen device) and I absolutely hate the inability to do basic things such as changing payment method through the website. When did all of this go away? If I log in now, all I see are big bubbles asking me to upgrade. No wonder people keep raving about Ring and Nest security systems these days. We will switch to one of those soon. Hope the nickel-and-diming was worth it for you!

It's still there, just "hidden".  Do you see a menu along the left side?  Select "Monitoring" under "settings" and you will get a page with a blue bar across the top.  In that bar, it will list your credit card, and under that is an "edit" link.  I have the interactive plan so I can't reproduce your problem.

Actually, I don't know that anyone is "raving" about the Ring or Nest systems.  As far as I know, they are not out yet or just out, and there is no history to "rave" about.  Pretty much all the "raving" is the cheaper monitoring cost.  Which may turn out to be a "get what you pay for"  situation.

Changing your system should be because you found a better system (which I doubt) or you found an equal system which costs less.  Changing because you are peeved about a change which you have not fully investigated is kind of silly behavior.
