Deletion of old credit card information is not efficient for the users
My credit card was hacked and I received an alert from Simplisafe that my old card was now invalid. In order to add a new credit card it can be done off the app, however to delete old credit card information from an account you need to call a 1-800 number and work with someone to delete the old information. After working through the chat, which was useless I was referred to the 1-800 number and spent additional time attempting to remove 4 credit cards from my account, 3 of which were the same credit card. As you can't see the card number information it makes it difficult to know which of the 3 that were the same was the correct one. I added the new card and then had to hunt and peck with the person on the call to figure out which one of the now 4 cards was the correct one. We had to delete two, create a new one as the default, then she deleted the remaining cards. What a hassle!! Two issues exist here, 1. you need to reach out to a real person to manage your own credit card accounts, and 2. you must have one default credit card which I understand, but it makes it difficult if none of the cards are valid and you need to start from scratch with a new card and again, reach out to the 1-800 number to have them delete your own credit card info. As I've already worked on other accounts to remove the old credit card and add in the new one due to the hack this is the only vendor who requires this level of effort on my part to remove old credit cards. Expect what should be a 3 minute excercise in your acccount to take 15-20 minutes of your life that you can't get back because SimpliSafe can't write a decent program to remove old credit card numbers. The service is good, but this process was not well thought out.

@cmadden Yes, at this time one of our customer service agents does need to remove any additional payment methods from your account; but the ability to remove extra payment methods in the app is in development. Be sure to follow this thread in the Community to be notified whenever we have an update.

OMG! My thoughts exactly! Why is it SO insanely cumbersome to delete OLD credit cards? Why make THAT process so obtuse?

Having the same issue today trying to delete old cards and add a new this is nuts. Let us do it ourselves we don't have all this spare time to be dealing with this. Make it easier !

I am having the same issue. My default credit card was compromised, and I added a new default credit card. However, I can't delete the old card.

My app updated today, 10-08-25, and there is NO DELETE button anywhere credit cards are listed or under the edit function. This needs to be fixed. Heck, can't even do it on the website either. I have seen ads for Cove or something like that. I wonder if their billing works better than this?

Deleting a credit card SHOULD be able to be done online. I logged in on my browser and the delete feature is not there!
You have to use the app. Well, what if my phone is not available for an extended period of time?? You should be able to do EVERYTHING by logging into your account using a computer & browser!!

It silly that you can't delete a credit card online using your computer & browser! What if my phone is not available for an extended period??
And what if you don't have a smart phone??
Online management of ALL account details should be possible - not just partial account management/
