Hi @jtdimsdale,

The Base Station has a few network requirements in order to connect to Wi-Fi successfully. It requires:

  • A network that broadcasts at 2.4GHz
  • Your SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password to be 31 characters or shorter
  • Your network to be configured to WPA2 or WPA2/3 Mixed Mode

Since your network already broadcasts at 2.4GHz, I would check the character count of your SSID and password and look at the configuration of the network to see if they comply with these requirements.

@horace_top3 If your network aligns with these requirements and your Base Station still is not connecting to it, try moving the Base Station closer to your router.

It can also help to set up a guest network with a completely different SSID as your home's network and connect only your SimpliSafe® devices to it.

Have same problem.   Base doesn’t see 2.4 wifi.   i just connected 2 thermostats, 3 cameras, and a dehudifier that all required 2.4 wifi.   checked ssid on computer and it shows broadcasting at 2.4. Base doesn’t see it.

Hey @jdo12410 is the network on WPA2 or WPA3? Sometimes WPA3 can keep it hidding, switching it to WPA2 to connect it and switching it back to WPA3 after it's connected could be the fix you are looking for.
