Notification only for Water Sensor (no audible alert)

I think it would be a good idea to offer the ability to disable the siren alarm for water sensors and have only a text/call alert.  It would be nice to have the option so anyone with kids or guests in the home don't get woken up in the middle of the night by a blaring siren due to a small sink drip or something similar.

Hi @rajohnson005 ,

As Emily said, thank you for submitting the idea.

I did also want to clarify for others who may happen upon this thread. When the Water Sensor is triggered, does generate an audible alert. However, it's more of a gentle dinging sound, followed by the voice saying, "water sensor triggered". It is not a full siren, like you would hear from an intruder (Entry, Motion, or Glassbreak) alarm.

Still, a similar request has been made for the Temperature Sensor, so it makes sense to have one for the Water Sensor as well!

@rajohnson005 Thanks for the suggestion! We'll send this over to our dev team for their consideration.

Still hoping for this. Being able to set a loud, audible alarm would be very helpful in the event of a large water leak/burst pipe

Yes, Please allow control over these sensors like we have for intruder devices.  I just want a simple text message on a water alert, not beeping, escalating beeps, automated calls, etc.  This is not a big ask since the capability and UI already exists for the other sensors.
