Is it normal to need to reset the SimpliSafe base station after every minor power outage?

I'm really getting tired of having to disassemble my SimpliSafe base station with a Philips head screwdriver to reset it after every minor power outage. It does not seem like a normal "consumer grade" situation. The first time it happened was at 3:00 AM, and I was not happy at all. I'm in a suburban neighborhood where brief power outage, meaning from 15 seconds to around three minutes are not rare occurrences. I sure hope you can help me with this. Thanks.

@notochris Whenever there is a power outage, the Base Station should automatically try to reconnect to your network whenever it is back up. When the power comes back on, does the Base Station just not reconnect indefinitely or does it connect after some time?

What can help is to set up a Guest WiFi network and connect your SimpliSafe devices to it. That can help free up bandwidth and make it easier for the Base Station to maintain its connection.

The Base Station reconnects just fine. It also, every time that there is any power outage whatsoever, demands to be reset.

I'll try the Guest Wifi thing, and report back. Thanks.
