Issues with IOS 14.2 support to doorbell camera

Recently purchased/installed Doorbell camera.  Installed App onto my iphone (IOS 14.2).  There are several issues.  (1) cannot save changes to some of the motion detection settings.  Specifically, Motion Type and Activity Zone settings.   (2) Not recieving "PUSH" notifications.  Unable to change notification settings because the simplisafe app does not show up under Settings => Notifications => ....   The app shows up under Settings => but the only settings available are Location, Background app refresh, and cellular data.    Without "PUSH" notifications, I've essentially purchased a very expensive SPST mechanical switch to ring my doorbell chime.

Hi @fivezaks,

The inability to save changes to those motion settings within the iOS app is a known issue that seems to only affect a small percentage of our users. It is currently being worked on by our iOS App Development Team but in the meantime, many customers have been able to regain that ability by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the SimpliSafe app.

Regarding your issue with Push Notifications, it seems as though the SimpliSafe app never requested permission from your phone to post those notifications. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the SimpliSafe app to get that working as well. Once you log into your account, the SimpliSafe app should prompt for notification permissions. If you continue to have issues after trying that, contact our Support Team. They can be reached by email at Customer-Support@SimpliSafe.com or by phone at 1-800-548-9508 from 8 AM to Midnight ET, 7 days a week.

Hi Everyone, I've been having the same problems ever since I was sent and installed the new SIM card for the 4G update. I have the 2nd generation base station and an iPhone X running iOS 14.4.

After reading through all of these threads and googling, I actually decided to reinstall the app and it worked!!! Just posting in case it helps someone else fix this issue. I'm SO glad it's finally working again!!
