SimplySafe app on IPad will not rotate to landscape
I have a new IPad, and recently signed up for SS. I can access the system from my phone, IPad and laptop, but the app will not rotate to landscape on the IPad. Very annoying, since it is set up with a keyboard, which will not readily let me use the portrait mode.

definitely extremely annoying, and although when you access a specific camera view it will rotate to landscape, but at a different zoom level - cutting off a pretty significant portion of the view.

Time to respond with a fix for this… I have spent a lot of time and money on this system and it is just plain wrong that this was a concern three years ago…

I know nothing about iOS, so take with a grain of salt. It's probably not going to happen in the Simplisafe end.
I can force the Simplisafe app to landscape on Android 13 on my Samsung S8+ tablet. Squished a little, looks like it still on my phone, and is not full width, but still works.
In Samsung Android multi window mode it's even smaller but fully visible and functional even with the warning it might not work. Lol
For Android users, settings, labs, advanced. Ask if you can't find it. I'm old with a bad memory.😁
For iOS, these suggestions that may or may not work. So...your call.
iPad does not have a labs feature like Samsung to force landscape on portrait-only apps. This is because Apple has not provided a built-in way to override the app developer's decision to lock an app to portrait orientation.
However, there are a few third-party apps that might help you force certain apps into landscape mode.
One such app is AssistiveTouch, which allows you to create a custom button that will rotate the screen to landscape mode regardless of the app's orientation. Another option is to use an app like DisplayOrientation, which can be used to force any app to run in landscape mode, even if it is not designed to do so.
It is important to note that using these methods may not work with all apps, and some apps may experience glitches or performance issues when forced into landscape mode.
Additionally, some developers may intentionally block their apps from being forced into landscape mode, as they may not want their apps to be used in a way that is not supported.
Since I can force it on Samsung, I'd guess it's not restricted from such force.
