Will a door sensor work on a detached outside garage?
Hello,
I was thinking of adding a door sensor to my SS alarm system on my garage door and wanted to know if these will work outside. As my garage is detached and wanted to know if they work outside (but inside a garage) is the coldest temperature the sensor can handle. What is the maximum temperature as in the summer my garage gets very warm.

Hi hefeydd_,
For Entry Sensors specifically, we recommend that you keep them in an environment between 32°F to 120°F, with 90% max humidity. The sensor won't immediately stop working just because it gets colder or hotter than that range. The first impact would really be on the performance of the battery, which may not last as long in extreme conditions.
