Temperature sensitive entry and motion?

We live in NH and have a detached, unheated garage.  We installed an entry sensor on the service door and a motion sensor in the structure, but neither stays online for more than a few hours at a time.  Tech support says the system elements are temperature sensitive below 41 degrees.  Which is, um, most of the winter in NH.  Anyone else have this issue?

One more thought, I don't like Simplisafe's response that sensors are temperature sensitive below 41 degrees.  Gosh, much of the US gets below 41 degrees, especially in unheated garages.

Is it a distance issue?  Are these two sensors far away from the base station or does signal have to go through many walls?

All of the sensors are designed for climate controlled environments.  Indoor use only (is supported - outdoor MAY work or may act oddly).

I have one entry sensor in my garage.  It can get down below freezing out there when it occasionally gets cold around here.  I've had no problem so far.

Though the garage is outside of the house, it is not outdoors.

It's same with CPI or ADT sensors. They don't recommend them being used in garages or other non-climate controlled environments.

I have a motion sensor on the back shelf of my garage. Chicagoland has extreme temperatures and its fine...but also its always dry.

And like the Simplisafe sensor in the garage, I've never had problems with my six year old ADT sensor in the winter.  I'm in Colorado and we don't get much of a winter here.  The coldest month in my area seems to be December.  My garage is currently 46 degrees.
