Need an antitheft lock box that I can secure to my house near the front door so that the outdoor camera wont get ripped off or destroyed

Hello all, I cannot install my outdoor camera near our front door because any passer by can take it off very easily and I do not want to assume that kind of risk. After seeing that neither Simplisafe nor anyone else makes such a box (to my knowledge) I purchased a hard sealed case that is big enough to put the camera in and I plan to use my rotary tool to cut a slot in the side of the case so that the light, the microphone and the lens are exposed but the camera cannot be reached without opening up the case, which I plan to bolt to the roof so that it cannot be removed without opening up the case. This is time-consuming and I am sure it won't look as nice as it would if Simplisafe or a company like Pelican would do it.

Does anyone know where I could get a protective box for my outdoor camera?

Could you good folks at Simplisafe please design something like that?

Thank you

Hi @gnarmar ,

Once you're done, I'd love to see pictures! And if anyone else has suggestions for this application, add them here.

We know that grab-and-go thieves are a concern, which is why we recommend that you at least place your camera out of reach; say about 10ft off the ground, so that no person can just jump up and grab it. The Outdoor Camera can also be secured onto standard camera mounts through the 3/8" port on the bottom, like the Wasserstein Permanent Mount on our store.

Evidently Simplisafe makes more coin by not offering an anti theft cover for their outdoor cameras?? It seems they clearly do not care about this specific concern… I do believe many Simplisafe system owners probably have the exact same concern. Simplisafe should step up with a solution… they could make more coin!
