Smoke alarm beep

My smoke alarm beeps early in the morning. I turn off my house heater at night, so house temp. Can drop to 60 degrees. And the smoke alarm beeps every few minutes, and stops when house warms up. Does it have a low temp setting?

Hi @tetphonehome, 

The Smoke & CO Detector does have a recommended operating temperature range of 40°F to 100°F, but it doesn't have a feature that causes it to beep when your house gets to a certain temperature. When the Smoke & CO Detector beeps, do you also see a colored light? That could help us pinpoint what is causing it to beep - like if a battery is low or if the device isn't seated on its mounting bracket all the way.

Thanks for responding. 

I will check next time it does it. I turned the heat up to 63 degrees last night, and nothing beeped this morning. 

I will look for the colored light if it keeps doing it.
