Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector LED Status Light Colors

The Smoke & CO Detector has several light states that reflect the status of the device and change when there is the presence of smoke or CO within your home. This guide will highlight the various indicators and their meanings.
Indicator | Sound | Meaning |
Red LED blinks 3 times rapidly | 3 chirps, 1 second pause, 3 chirps | Smoke detected |
Red LED blinks 4 times rapidly | 4 chirps, 1 second pause, 4 chirps | CO Detected |
Yellow LED blinks twice every 4 seconds | Chirping once a minute | The Smoke & CO Detector is not connected to its mounting bracket properly. In order to keep the Tamper Switch pressed, ensure the detector is mounted correctly on the bracket. |
Blinking yellow light | Chirps once a minute | Battery is low. Learn how to replace it with the steps here. |
Blinking yellow light | Chirps three times a minute | Malfunction and/or no longer operating within intended sensitivity. Please contact support for further assistance. |
Green light blinks once every 50 seconds | No sound | Normal, detector functioning properly |
No light | No sound | No power to the unit |
