Misleading Next Day Shipping Option

Next Day option at checkout is misleading.  Here is what it says:

Next Day (1 bus. day)Orders must be placed by 11am EST, M-F to arrive next day

I placed my order at 10:30am on a Thursday, and paid $68 for Next Day, counting on my order arriving Friday.  I found out that it only shipped on Friday and thus will arrive on Monday.  Had I known, I would not have bothered with the Next Day surcharge.

@mtdousset Am I shocked about your post? Unfortunately no.  This should be an easy one.

1. Call SimpliSafe, get customer service, say and show that your order was placed by the deadline. 2. If you get anything else than "here's your refund" politely ask to be escalated to a manager, and if one is not available or they have to "investigate", say sure and give them a time and date to call you back.  And then get your refund.

One last thing: details like time zones is important here. IF SS says EST and you are using another time zone and its spelled out to be EST, you may be SOL.

@captain11 thank you for your response.  I did just as you suggested and got a refund for the shipping cost.

I hope they can make the extra day handling clearer on their website to avoid others being confused and disappointed like I was.

@mtdousset​ I am very glad it worked out. SimpliSafe has always been a very honest company but, as you will agree, not anywhere near perfect.  Have a great week, and Kudos to SS for addressing this.....and, please, improve on shipping performance.

I have the same issue, ordered online Sunday (paid for next day delivery) and received invoice acknowledgement.  Monday day was Labor Day, expected order to process early Tuesday and ship for delivery Wednesday so I could get installed before leaving town.  Did not come today (Wednesday). Tracking says coming Thursday. Now I will have to pay for someone else to install as I have to leave town.

Who do I call to discuss?
