Set Certain Sensors to Trigger even when disarmed

To Simplisafe:

I just installed a new entry sensor standing guard in my closet that has a safe in it for important papers. Good news: set to instant trigger for home and away. Bad news: after 8+ years you still have not given us the ability to have a sensor arm and set to alarm when the system is off.  Why would you want that? Since zones are not in the cards, a simple software update would allow a user to configure a sensor that is protecting a window or door that is rarely or never opened. Another example: my 3 basement windows that have not been opened in over 25 years.

How about it?

@TeamSS, thanks for the reply but I should note I have submitted it at least 10 times for the past 8  years.  Please surprise me with an early Christmas gift and say it will be done and is being worked on.... I know you can't but one can always hope!.  Thanks and have a great week.

@ronsec laughed when I read your post, however, possibly some hope for optimism with the Simplisafe Social Team monitoring and being active in the forums, even on a Sunday.  Progress for sure, possibly this or other suggestions will see the light of day. Fingers crossed.  (Yes Colt, the eternal optimist. :-)

@Captain11: We can only hope!   As an aside, SS must become much more responsive both in requests for new features and customer service (all phases) if they are planning a true commercial presence.  Business owners won't put up with the SS BS for very long.

I just checked my system and when it is Off you can set any sensor to "Secret Alert".  It won't trigger the alarm, but at least you'll know it's open.  Wouldn't that help in your situation?

^ well, depending on what's in the safe, an alarm might be useful (like lately, when text messages and push notifications aren't working, so 'secret alert' would be sort of useless, that's just one example - we could probably think of several others)

Captain, I wish that optimism would actually sneak up on the 'development team' !

@ronsec, ROTFLMAO!
