Schedule motion detection on Outdoor Cameras
I'd like to request a new feature that allows users to toggle a camera's "Motion detection" functionality on/off on a schedule. I've found that my outdoor wireless cameras run out of battery more often than necessary because there's no way to automatically toggle off motion detection during days/times when we know we'll be home and going in/out of the monitored entrances throughout the day.
Currently the only way to control this is manually--by opening the app every morning to toggle motion detection off, then doing the same to toggle motion detection back on in the evening.
This new feature could save users a lot of battery charge and maintenance and cut down on unnecessary notifications. I suspect it could also be a boon for Simplisafe, as it means potentially reducing the amount of data storage required for account users who opt into auto-scheduling.

Ability to have basic Amazon integration without paying for it...BS.... have a variety of smart devices and NONE of them require a subscription. Blood sucking policy....

I and others have raised this request before, but I must ask again. The outdoor camera is essentially worthless to me without the option to ignore activity - or at least stop sending notifications - except when the system is 'Home' or 'Away'. I'm no developer, but this doesn't seem like a terribly complicated feature to add.
Summer is almost here. My family and I use our backyard throughout the day, and I really don't appreciate dings every time my kids run past the camera (not to mention the battery drain). It has already gotten to the point that I have turned notifications off entirely, effectively rendering it a wasted $175.
Summer is also the time of year when, in the urban area where I live, crime spikes. Having an outdoor camera will go a long way toward making us feel secure at night and when we're out of town. If that isn't possible very soon, I might need to look into a more customizable system - and I don't want to do that!

We really need this! I just want outside Mouton alerts at night. This is a pretty standard feature on most cameras.

My Camera watches my driveway. I get many notifications (videos) all day long for normal driveway movement (cars-deliveries-taking out garbage). I would like a Time per Day schedule to set Notifications. Meaning, Notifications ON from Monday 10pm to Tuesday 8am. Setting up a Time based Daily Schedule will save battery life and Simplisafe from saving unwanted videos.

I would like to receive motion notifications from outdoor cameras only when the system is set to either home or away. More specifically I would like to be able to edit what notifications, and what is received by the cameras depending on the status of the home unit, being either disarmed home or away.

Dear SimpliSafe Safe
i just switched my cameras to Simpli Safe from Arlo. I wanted to only have one system. If I had known the motion detection couldn’t be turned off when system is disarmed I would not have spent $500 on cameras. Please develop the app ASAP to allow this. This is truly a lacking feature on Simpli Safes platform.

Not being able to turn off motion detection is a complete failure on Simpli safes platform. If I had known this I would not have wasted the money purchasing these cameras. Every other camera monitoring platform I found has this feature. I never once thought I would need to check if this was a feature on Simpli Safe. In all honesty you all should be embarrassed for not allow full control on the products you sell.

I bought some outdoor cameras last year when I purchased my SS system; returned them after realizing that I could not turn off recordings when system was in OFF mode. Except for this issue, I really liked the cameras and would be interested in purchasing SS outdoor cameras if their recordings can be programmed based on system mode like the indoor cameras.
