Indoor Camera Option to Rotate the Camera View

Completely agreed. The indoor and outdoor cameras have different use-cases that inform their designs. The indoor wireless SimpliCams work better for my indoor purposes, but I also need to mount them “upside down” (preferably “sideways”, even!) in most instances. Not having the option to flip the images in 90° intervals – or at least 180°(!) – is a major annoyance in an otherwise great system that I’ve been generally extremely pleased with. 

The simplicity aside, that this feature has been being asked for the past five years and not yet implemented is very disappointing. 

As a software developer myself, I understand the need to prioritise bugfixes over enhancements and then whatever calculus may be involved for determining priority on enhancements, &c. However, the fact that a feature exists in one parallel use-case does strongly suggest the reasonable possibility of implementing the same feature in another parallel use-case without having to build a whole new team to do it.

@vijju7299​ if you have an Outdoor Camera, the option is already available in the Camera Settings section.

Unfortunately, it's not available for the SimpliCam Indoor Camera.

@davey_d​ , @simplisafe , this issue is not going away after five years. Please either implement this feature or open-source your software so we can do it for you. 

@gnarmar​ sounds like you've already found the setting. But for others who haven't yet, here's the path in the app:

☰ Three-Bar Menu > My System > Camera Settings > [your outdoor camera] > Rotate Image 180°

How is it this is an issue from 5 years ago and still not fixed?

Please add this feature.  I was incredibly happy when installing everything until I did the cameras and now I have an upside down camera without the possibility of flipping the image.  I am extremely annoyed because I hate making holes in my walls and I do not want to reorientate the camera because upside down view has the best coverage. Ugh!!!

Every other camera I had use has this feature. Come on simplisafe!!!

@stephencaperton​ A perfect example where an existing software feature can make the system more useable across more instances. Why has this not been done yet?!
