IFTTT Integration
Hi-
The lack of formal IFTTT support is quickly becoming a thorn in my side, especially with alternatives like https://www.scoutalarm.com . I have read many accounts of your customers looking to integrate your otherwise awesome service with the rest of the house, including smart lights, HVAC, and security camera. I've learned that it is much BETTER to integrate than trying to corner the market for everything by cornering yourself off.
IFTTT is quickly becoming (or rather become) the standard, and shouldn't present a serious problem for SS programmers to create an integration. Please 1) let me know if I can help in any way and 2) explain why IFTTT isn't offered yet/when it will be offered/why it isn't on your development roadmap.
Thank you,
Alex (a happy, loyal customer who really wants to see you continue to succeed, but will have to start considered alternatives soon)

I cannot believe looking through this thread that it has been at least 5 years (and, by the sounds of it, almost 10 years) that this has been requested and absolutely NOTHING from Simplisafe. It seems that customers wishes and needs are simply not important to Simplisafe. Really, really poor level of customer service !
I for one, wilĺnot be choosing SS when upgrading my system if this is how they "look after" their customers. In this day and age, you simply cannot get away with ignoring the people who ensure your wages get paid.

STILL no IFTTT? After a decade? Considering dropping my subscription for a system that is not way behind on integrations. At this point, its just embarassing.

Wow 11 years and still no IFTT support. I'm really bummed, with my last security system I was able to trigger all my smart lights to blink red. When the alarm is going off Including all my outdoor lights. As well as trigger my non simply safe cameras to record. I wish I would have known this before purchasing simply safe. I have only had it a couple weeks now. I am still in the return window. Im extremely bummed, and saddened.

I am adding my voice to this request for integration of IFTTT. We have been happy SimpliSafe customers foe quite a while now, and our SimpliSafe water sensors have saved us from a couple would be disasters, BUT... this is only because we were home when those alarms were triggered. If we had not been home, our entire basement would been flooded resulting in astronomical damage. A simple solution would be to have a SimpliSafe smart plug that could be switched off as soon as a water alarm was triggered, shutting down the appliance the was causing the flood. PLEASE make this development a priority. The cost of us switching to an alternative system would be far less than the cost of water damage in our basement.

Imagine being asked for an integration for 9 years, acknowledging it and never doing it...

For Android, at IFTTT select Android, SMS received from a specific app, select app and keywords. Etc. probably best if a paid user. Free is a little slow. If up to 10 seconds is ok, free is probably ok if IFTTT allows it.
Counts on notifications coming in.
Trigger a compatible water shutoff. You can search that up, there are several possibly compatible options available.
Some examples that may be IFTTT compatible and may require their hub, include Phyn and YoLink etc.
Phynn isn't cheap, might as well also consider Moen Flo, it shuts off water automatically if a leak is detected after learning water usage. Research issues if any.
Do your research. Users have reported IFTTT being unreliable at times, Internet etc. being what it is and user wifi.
You could also use Macrodroid app for intercept and an Ai could guide you how to with compatible hardware.
You could do the same with other notifications with IFTTT and or Macrodroid app on Google play, free to try I think. And other more technical apps.
Like turning on compatible smart things, smart lights etc.
I'm not an Apple user, so you'll have to search the few options available. If any.
Do the searching and due diligence. Check forums, reddit etc. for actual usage reviews from users.
All above are DIY, may get your hands dirty, some options may require plumbing.
There are other DIY ways but requires time, effort, & a willingness to learn.
It is probably "never" happening here.

I was actually shocked to not have it available. Just now getting to setup the system with some additional actions in case of a door opening (a common non-alarm event) and it’s not there. This is very odd given the rampant availability in all the competitors’ products and services.
Very disappointing. It’s like I’m back in 2006 all of the sudden.
