Yes, I have the original system. I am not worried about warranty. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem. Is it a battery, is the keypad dead, etc. And they just replaced this keypad for me less than 3 months ago, so if it is dead, I will call the company and talk to them about it.
Just to confirm, are you saying that the Keypad is no longer beeping during the Entry Delay, or that the Base Station is no longer doing the Door Chime? If the issue is that you are no longer hearing the Door Chime, make sure that that option is still toggled on in your System settings on your account on SimpliSafe.com. If you are no longer hearing the Entry Delay beeps from the Keypad, does the Keypad screen still prompt you to disarm the system during the Entry Delay?
Hey Team!
I do not have the door chime toggled on. I am referring to the entry delay beeps. And no, the keypad is not prompting me to disarm the system. It just sits there in home mode until the alarm goes off.
It sounds like this issue is less about the Keypad's ability to beep and more about its ability to receive the "Entry Delay" signal from the Base Station. If you haven't already, here are a few things to try:
Remove one battery from the Keypad for at least 5 seconds and then power it back on.
Remove the Keypad from your system through your SimpliSafe.com account or the SimpliSafe app and then add it back.
If neither of these options helps get your Keypad to start responding to the Entry Delay, try calling our Support Team at
1-800-548-9508 or emailing them at Customer-Support@SimpliSafe.com from 8 AM to Midnight ET, 7 days a week.
