AT&T available for cellular backup?

With the recent big storm I realized my system wouldn’t connect when wifi went down for 3 days

does anyone know if base models (gen 3) can be equipped with an ATT card because that is the only good provider in my area
chat support tells me only Verizon is available not ATT

any input appreciated

Hi @jdotbdot61 ,

Verizon is the default, and it should be able to cover a vast majority of locations nationwide. But yes, we do have AT&T available as an alternate if Verizon doesn't have the coverage. We might just need to troubleshoot a bit more in case a replacement SIM is not necessary to get your system back online. Please call our Support team at 800-548-9508 and we'll take you through the process.

I’ve tried calling in to make the switch as Verizon doesn’t work in our neighborhood.  The reps have no idea what they’re doing and say AT&T is not available.

@PPStom I'm afraid you were given incorrect information, we do have AT&T as a backup if you don't have Verizon coverage in your area. I see that you contacted our Support team again and they've sent out an AT&T module for you!

I had the same issue with Verizon and SS sent me a AT&T chip and no issues since then.

How the hell did you guys get an att set up? I've argued with customer service agents over and over again. Even sent them proof of this thread showing their own worker saying they have att models and other people have been able to get att models and everytime they come back with the same BS generic answer of "I'm sorry but you were told wrong we only have Verizon for a cellular back up option" I'm getting a bit annoyed at this point because cellular back up does nothing for me when I get zero service with Verizon but full 5g with att. Kinda ridiculous when their own customer service agents domt know their product.

@Austinkrudup I am sorry to hear about this experience and I will connect with our internal teams about this. I do see that you connected with our Support team again and they are sending an AT&T SIM card out to you. If you have any other questions, please let me know!
