Temporary PIN requests

Two ideas for PINs

1) it would be extremely useful to have temporary PINs that deactivate after either a specific date or number of uses.

scenario: if I have a contractor coming to my house on August 15th, I could create a PIN for them and it would only work within the allowed window. Or if I set it to expire after 5 uses.

2) it would be useful to have scheduled PINs that are only available during specific dates/times

scenario: my housekeeper comes weekly on Wednesdays from 12-2, the designated PIN would only be accepted during those times. If someone tried to use it on Saturday evening (as an example) it would not work, and may even notify monitoring (as a potential option)

Prerequisite for both: expand the number of PINs that can be added to the system

Hi @ahc11 ,

Thanks so much for these great suggestions! Would you mind posting in the Product Requests & Suggestions section here, with two separate threads? That way our devs can track each request separately!

This is an excellent idea, in addition to the option of many more than max four custom PINs. BTW, the options you suggest are fully available via the August Lock, deadbolt retrofit option.

This is such a great idea. I use Simplisafe for my business. Would feel more comfortable if able to block access to entry after hours. It's not that I don't trust my employees, but it would be more secure in the case that someone was able to figure out their pin. Please make this happen.

This is a fantastic idea. I use this system for my medical practice and would be beneficial if I could make sure nobody could enter after hours. I always have concerns someone would get hold of one of my staff's pin. There's no way of me knowing how well they are at keeping their pin safe. This would provide peace of mind. Please make it happen!
