SimpliSafe doorbell.... will it work with a mechanical or digital doorbell??
I thought I read the SimpliSafe video doorbell would work with a digital doorbell. I had to install a transistor and all the wiring as my house only had a defunct intercom system.
Video doorbell turned on, but would not activate the digital door bell chime.
It would activate as long as the wires at the door bell were touching.
Not sure if it matters, but I also have not set up my SimpliSafe system or have internet at the new house yet. Not sure if the doorbell will or won't work at all with the inside chime till it's setup?
But if nothing else can it work with a mechanical chime atleast?!
