Software update never goes thru

Hi, I have tried multiple times to update my firmware (as per the SimpliSafe app prompt) and it never works. My WiFi connection has no issues at all - I have even spent an hour with a tech doing a hard reset. My internet provided is Xfinity. One of the SS reps told me that Xfinity can cause issues with this type of thing (almost like a firewall I guess...?).

Has anyone else had this issue with firmware updates?

Hi @Leaargenti1 ,

Have you tried updating through the Keypad instead? You can follow instructions here.

It's possible that the app may be running into some sort of networking issue. But you might have better success updating through the equipment directly.

Yes, thank you - after talking with a SS rep, that seems to be the best workaround is update on the keypad instead of the app.
