Simplisafe app compatibility

A week ago, I had downloaded the Simplisafe app on my LG android, and I had to remove it about 3 days ago temporarily.

When I decided to go to Google play or even the Simplisafe webpage to download it again, the prompt said that my phone was not compatible.

I don't know why it was compatible a few days ago, but not now; am I doing something wrong?

Not sure- it says it was updated on June 21st.  Perhaps you originally downloaded it before the update and after the update your phone doesn't meet the requirements anymore.  Or maybe you changed something on your phone during that time that the app needs to access.  Is it an older phone?

Well, it's about 5 years old, but it works well, so I have no other problems and do have other updated apps.

Are these requirements something that only a newer phone can provide, or is there some tweak or older version I can use for this phone?

Hi stikistar,

Do you happen to also be traveling right now? Or maybe using a VPN service on your phone. The Play Store is region-specific, and the SimpliSafe app is not available on in most markets outside of the US and UK.

I've been at my home in USA, but I was using a VPN service, and since turned it off.  I only use it sporadically.

The SimpliSafe app was found easily & usable just a few days ago, I can't even find it on the Play store app, now; if there's an older link I can use if this is the case?

Hi stikistar,

It might just take your app store a little while to figure out your location.

But you can try this page: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplisafe.mobile

If you log in on a desktop, you should also be able to remotely install the app to your device.

Thanks, but that's the link I used before, and it says "This app is not available for your device" and when I click that citation, it shows my phone type.

I'm getting same error .Have not unpacked system yet. No indication that system is not supported in canada.,. How do i send it Back no phone # for support & chat doesn't work just criptic suggestions to deal with other error messages.
