Battery level for entry sensors

is there a way to see the battery level for the entry sensors to know when they need to be replaced other than waiting for them to say “not responding”?

@Brandonwallace12 If you have push alerts on and view your phone app, the "pulse" feature will tell you batteries are low prior to them going dead. Also, if you are going on vacation and want to be absolutely sure, you can call support and the agent can tell you battery conditions on all hardware on their end.  Please note that for cameras the app will show you a live status icon for each.

Hi @Brandonwallace12,

The SimpliSafe® Mobile App now includes a new feature that shows you the battery level for all of your sensors, as well as their signal strength. Please check out the Device Battery Usage and Signal Strength article in the Help Center for more details!

@simplisafe_admin This is really a huge improvement and needs to be better communicated. Worthy of sending an email to all users.

The battery level on the app is not reliable enough to disreagrd problems with communication, so if there is any weakness, you can still be at risk. I checked the batteries on 2 sensors that were showing lower communication signal by using a volt meter and they read 3.0 and 2.9 VDC. The battery level on the app read "fine". This affected the sensor communication but not the battery indicator on the app. and still blink blue. It can be misleading when trouble shooting. I changed them out. A good battery will read above 3.0 VDC. At or below 3.0 and you can be at risk. Below 1.5 VDC for the AA battery in the key pad will give you issues. All you need is 1 low one out of the 4 to give you an issue. The whole system still functions but check or change your batteries if there is any indication of a communication issue.
