Sirens showing 0% battery after update

Got the email about the urgent firmware update.  Followed the instructions.  After update, both remote sirens showed 0% battery.  Replaced batteries in both (although I'm pretty sure they were good).   Still showed critical battery life.  Deleted the sirens then added back.   Still showed critical battery life.  Reset base station again.   Still showed critical battery life.  Called Simplisafe support.  She said there were no errors on the system.  Should I just ignore what the app says?  Note: both sirens do work.

@jludwig402 Most times, but not all, SS support is good. Based on your post, this was not one of those times.  Suggest you call back support, ask them to read your account notes upfront and then ask for a call back from a tech specialist. When the agent says they can help, say no thank you and insist either a trf to a specialist or that call back.  Once on the line, ask them to read the notes and then pick it up from there.

Especially since you changes the batteries, this has to be addressed.

Please post your outcome here if you get a chance.

While on hold to talk to someone at SS support, I reset the base station again.   That fixed it.  No idea - maybe the sirens don't report battery status right away (but I would assume they do????)?  In any event, it is fixed, so hung up before I talked to a tech specialist.

I am also fighting this issue. I purchased an extra siren during the Black Friday sale, and on installation I had the same issue as the OP. My first encounter with SS support eventually resulted in SS sending me a replacement siren. Attempting to install it today, and I am having the exact same issue.

I did attempt a battery-out base station reset (twice actually) to no avail. Before the 2nd base station reset, I removed the new siren from the account, then pulled and reinstalled the siren batteries, and after the reset, re-added to my account. Still no joy.

Looks like another encounter with SS support is in my future.
