Door Chimes Not Working

@davey_d​ No worries, thanks for the reply. It only stopped/is not making sounds when doors are opened. I replaced them fairly recently (and the first time in a few years). Usually from my experience, and from this particular system, it alerts you when batteries are getting low too, or at least we could tell the last time. In any case, countdowns and other noises are still coming from this device. I did try to toggle the setting, save it, then toggle it back, but to no avail.

Curiouser and curiouser. And the Door Chimes still happen on your Base Station, right?

@davey_d They did, but I have disabled them from the base station, as of right now (and for other previous troubleshooting).

@davey_d​ I'm wondering if this has anything to do with "Secret Alerts" now. I'm thinking it does? If so, I wish there was a way to have both features (where when the Simplisafe system is disabled; alerts/notifications could alert you when an entry sensor is open, but while also performing a chime).

Is there a way to confirm if this is it or not, or whether it could be? How does this functionality usually work. Weird thing is, one way or another I know the door "chimes" worked in the past.

Although I would have to review and test again, and check whether this is occurring when the system is on too, since I thought in the past it would still "chime" even when a door was opened with the system enabled in "Home" or "Away" modes; then the countdown timer would "beep" each time.

@thatguy​ it's a good idea to perform a Base Station reset! It's just like restarting your phone or computer, and can help by clearing out and restarting the programming.

@ecarollo​ regarding those doors or windows that are having trouble - do you see the light flashing on the sensor when you open and close them? If not, the main sensor pieces may not be close enough to the magnets to register as closed. This guide on our Help Center can help with installation and potential issues.

But if you are seeing the light (one light for open, two lights for closed), that means the sensor itself is functional, but it's having trouble sending the signal to the Base Station. This guide on the Help Center can take you through some steps to resolve that.
