So far my experience with SimpliSafe has been poor.
We have had our SimpliSafe system for less than one year. The installation and setup was straightforward and the system was working just fine. A week or two ago one of the entry sensors stopped responding. Twice I sent email via the support page (https://support.simplisafe.com/hc/en-us) with no response. I sent email directly from my email application - no response. Today I called and we determined the battery had died by swapping the battery with a different entry sensor. Rather than immediately offering to send a new battery I had to point out that we had the system for less than a year and the battery should last about three years. At that point the support person agreed to send a battery. Shortly after getting off the phone the entry sensor who's battery was used to test the failing sensor started having issues. Could it be that the first entry sensor is somehow defective and is killing batteries?
In any event, all in all pretty poor customer support. I'll buy a pack of new batteries and see how long they last. If I get less than a year I'm pretty sure I've been sold defective hardware and then will have to start shopping for a different alarm system.
