Difficulty trying to order new outdoor camera

Existing customer here. I had a hell of a time getting an order placed. When I am at the shop and click login, it takes me to my web dashboard. Then when I go back to the shop, I'm not logged in. I went around in circles with this a few times. I finally got it to work by logging on on the forum page and then going to the shop.

Thanks for the feedback! We'll let our devs know. That does seem confusing.

Just so you know, you can still purchase any additional components, you can do that without having to log in. We'll ask for your email later in the purchase process.

I'm trying to order just the outdoor camera but there seems to be NO way on the website to do so without the main system.

Can you share the super secret handshake for existing customers to get one?

Unfortunately yes, due to extreme demand, we're currently no longer able to offer the Outdoor Camera as a standalone purchase. We'll let you know when we have them available again soon.

Existing Customers Should Be Able to Purchase Outdoor Cameras
As an existing customer, it only seems fair we should have access to buying outdoor cameras, rather than just making them available to new customers. We have already invested in the system. Why don't we have priority?

Because they have some of your money already and they are prioritizing the cameras as a way to bring in new customers and new (monthly) revenue. I can see where you would find this problematic but I can also see where from a business standpoint it makes sense.

As has been mentioned here previously, SimpliSafe is not the only place you can buy the outdoor camera. It's currently listed as in stock on-line at Amazon, Best Buy and Lowes Home Improvement. You may even be able to find them in stock locally at Best Buy and Lowes based on my searches just now. The cameras are out there if you want to buy one, you just can't buy it from SimpliSafe.

(In fact, unless you live super remote, I guarantee you that Amazon can get it to you faster and with cheaper (or no) shipping than if you ordered it from SimpliSafe)

Because it is not avail on Amazon. I'm with the others: I started with SS when they just wen in business. I have had 3 systems. But, I am last priority. Oh, if you want to talk to them, hope you don't have any other plans for about a half hour or more but the elevator music is niice.

Belgique  I just checked Best Buy. In the greater chicagoland area you can order it right now and pick it up almost at any store on Monday Nov 22nd. Seems large shipment inbound. Check near you. BTW, I put 4 in my cart and the site was ready for me to place an order.  Didn't has I already have two. (Best Buy)

Website is NOTTTT user friendly. All I want to do is order a smoke detector! Keeps adding base station and keypad, I already have that. I GIVE up!

@cuonn​ I'm very sorry to hear about this. Have you tried using this shop page on our website? It should allow you to add just a Smoke Detector to your cart.
