Active Guard: Fix Outdoor Siren Option for Wider Customer Adoption

I just received a promo offer on signing up for a no risk Active Guard trial. Yes, an innovative, effective enhanced service everyone should have....ah, except those that are concerned waking their neighbors at 2am with a false alarm.

As with many things in life, the important stuff is in the details.  When a SS monitoring agent sees a potential or real threat, they can turn on the Series 2 OD camera spotlight and/or siren. Fine. The issue is that when you sign up for the program, it immediately overrides your siren settings to always sound the outside siren. That's the problem. If it is a false alarm, my neighbors pay the price when it goes off, and then I pay again when they talk to me in the morning.

This design flaw is present either to no thought of it by SimpliSafe or just lazy coding.  It has to be addressed, quickly, or SS will experience cancellations or missed signups. It is a shame, as this service is really attractive, effective and at a very good price point.
