Cant Get Upgraded 4G Module

I don’t know if you guys don’t do this anymore, but I’ve just spent an hour going through multiple calls, multiple website chats,  multiple SMS chats and nobody can help me. I basically endured the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced in 46 years of my life.

My understanding is that you guys will send free of charge a 4G module to owners of GEN3 base stations that still have the outdated 2G modules, because otherwise, I can’t subscribe to any of your services because if I lose Wi-Fi, there’s no way for my system to communicate with SimpliSafe.

So do you guys still do this and if you do, how do I get one?

@briandl If you do not have the 4G module, you will get one at nc or a new base if under a monitoring plan or want to sign up for one. Think about it: no updated comm board, you are dead in the water and SS gets no money. That last part, while not the most important to you, is for SS.

My suggestion:  A. Call back support and ask for a call back from a supervisor, or B Call the toll free number and select sales. If there is one thing sales people want to do is sales.

Other than that, its the weekend and for the most part the community is not monitored over the weekend.

Not to make light of this, but boy, it appears someone or some people have really dropped the ball on this one.

BTW, you want real "fun"? Try dealing with ADT. Trust me, ain't fun.

Hey @briandl

Apologize you spent so much time on what is a very simple call (the instructions for agents are very front and center). We no longer replace the 4G module, but for anyone who still has the old cell module we will replace the entire Base Station. I'd be happy to send one out for you today. Just send me an email to SocialSupport@SimpliSafe.com or you can send me a Direct Message here on the community (it's the button next to the bell in the upper right hand corner).

All I need is for you to confirm the shipping address.
