Can SimpliSafe run on Wifi only

I have a vacation home that's in the middle of nowhere... problem is, there is no cell phone service in the area. Can the SimpliSafe system work on Wifi only?
it just wouldn't have a back up.
I called SimpliSafe and the person said yes but I don't think they knew for sure.
wanted to check before I order a system
