SS Holiday Offer on Pro or Pro Plus monitoring to try Active Guard you can easily refuse
Unfortunately, this is an offer you can easily refuse. Yes, Active Guard is industry leading, at a great price and I fully agree with their "The Best Protection is Prevention" tag line in their email offering two months to try Active Guard at no additional cost but.....and this should be important to anyone using the service... is that Active Guard immediately overrides the customer siren settings and your outdoor sirens are activated on all alarm events.
Some unknown person opening your car door in the driveway? A SS monitoring agent challenges them, spotlight turned on and, if necessary, sounds the siren and dispatches. Bravo.
Now another scenario: you go downstairs to put on the coffee, forget to turn off the system and you set off a false alarm, and your neighbors start calling because you needlessly work them up at 6am on a Sunday.
Either lazy coding or poor design, it doesn't matter. I have been harping on this to SS for months (since the day it was released to be exact) and nothing, de nada, zip has been done.
SS, you have a winner here but take some action to correct a significant design flaw. Many, many more customers will sign up for it if you do. Happy Holidays to all!

If you're lucky enough to have a camera that doesn't disconnect for no reason. There are people who have 1G up and 1G down wifi who can't connect.
That's why there is this "Either lazy coding or poor design, it doesn't matter." The customers are little more than beta testers, just like Apple, Google, etc. Have you also noticed that the admins only answer certain posts on this site? Should answer all. I could go on, but I no longer have a horse in the SS race. SS could be a great product, but they chose to only go after the $$$ not the customers.
