Video Doorbell Pro Installation - Wire Gauge
I ordered a Video Doorbell Pro tonight (along with a complete SimpliSafe system) and I have an installation question. My doorbell does have the right transformer (16V, 10VA), but when we had our old security company (Vector) out last month to install a doorbell from them, they said they couldn't because the wire gauge was too small (22 gauge I think is what we have, basically phone wire). Does the wire size matter for the installation of the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro? If so, I may have to return it and get a wireless one from somewhere else. Before I tried it, wanted to ask! I've searched all over and cannot find anything specifically relating to any required wire size, just that there has to be an existing doorbell setup and the right transformer. Thanks!

I don't think so as mine looks like telephone wire itself and works great and has been for 8 years now. If you get it and all the sudden you hear a constant humming sound coming from your doorbell inside then call them and they will send you out a chime connector and it will solve that problem. As long as the video doorbell is getting the correct voltage then you are good.
