Refurbished Doorbell in Exchange for One Defective Out of the Box

Hi,

Just like the title says, my first doorbell was defective out of the box. Simplisafe sent a refurbished doorbell as a replacement, and through chat, seem to think that's ok.

I have purchased many refurbished items through the years, but I did not purchase a refurb doorbell.

Thoughts?

Hi @Jdrum, 

Refurbished devices are sometimes used for warranty replacements. Looking at your account, I see that you contacted our Support team and that the security screw may be the wrong size. I would recommend reaching back out to them to see if you may need a replacement for a new doorbell.

@emily_s​ The one with the security screw problem was the original one I ordered. 

I was issued a replacement, and that replacement is the refurbished one.
