Camera Motion Range

For those of you using the SimpliCam outdoors, what kind of range are you getting on the motion sensor? The video works fine and records during arm/disarm, and I can view live and make manual recordings. But even with the motion sensor set to high sensitivity, I can pull into my driveway and park 15 feet from the camera and it will only sometimes trigger that as a motion event. Sometimes, it doesn't even pick me up when I get out of the car and walk closer to the camera. The motion sensor capability of the camera seems very limited.
