I was watching TV and all of a sudden heard this loud buzzing noise and then smelled burning plastic I almost called my local fire department I tried calling Simplisafe but they are closed I googled the problem went outside pushed my doorbell which seemed to solve the problem but I am frightened of it happening again and causing a fire I will call Simplisafe tomorrow when they are open very disappointing that no one could take an emergency call

This is extremely concerning. If you haven't already, and if you're able, we strongly suggest disabling the doorbell circuit.
