base station won't connect to new fiber 2.4ghz network with new password

my android phone works on 5.0 or 2.4 frequencies with the new pw, but the base station doesn't, even if i try to manually enter it; it says incorrect pw.  it seems that either the base station or the cloud is looking for a prior pw from last fall which doesn't work with changing it either. can that be done by contacting tech? thanks for any info
