Can dog barking setting-off glass breakage sensors

@SafeHome2 , yes, some have posted that but I have never experienced it in almost 7 years with first my SS2 system and now SS3.  Also, in the past I have checked with a about a dozen SS2 and SS3 owners (I have recommended and placed about 22) and no one has experienced this.  

With the 24.99 interactive plan you can selectively shut off the glass break sensors, but based on my personal experience and those I know, wouldn't bother. Others? What's your experience?

I have the SS2 system. I also have 2 small/medium dogs that bark at everything!  They haven't tripped a glass break sensor (I have 3) in the 2 yrs I have owned the alarm. I wouldn't worry about it.

@ronsec, going to upgrade to SS3 in he future?

@Captain11:  I'm not sure.  I bought the SS3 using the 40% discount and had to return it. When I received it I had a flare up of my Myasthenia Gravis and was unable to take the SS2 down and install the SS3. I wasn't sure if I'd eventually be able to do it and keep within the 60 day return window.  I'm in remission now.
However, I have a problem with the way SS does business.  They release products and don't announce them. Poor or no equipment manuals. Terrible forum format. No CRC center and antiquated phone system. They do put out a decent product and are basically honest if not somewhat inept - I had to call twice to get my refund credited on my return -BUT they gave me a months free monitoring, without me asking, for my troubles.  SS2 works flawlessly for me so I'm not inclined to change.  When or if the time comes that I need to change, hopefully the new systems that are out now (Ring, Abode) will have matured and I will make my decision then.

I have managed once (not on purpose) to set a SS3 glassbreak sensor off while pouring hard dog food into a metal dog food dish, since I was too lazy to bend down to pour it.  I poured from about waist height.  Only once though!

Holy crap, General, guess we'll all have to be careful with pet food, lol.  I never thought about that, but then, our stainless steel dishes are shallow, so no pouring at waist-height.

If there is a method to keep something from working the way it is designed to function, I'm the one to find it!!!  No matter how idiot proof someone makes a widget, I seem to exceed idiot expectations.

I have 2 dogs that go crazy barking when the landscapers come ---totally crazy ---banging on the glass door barking like maniacs and have never set it off. I also use metal dishes for their dry food and that never set it off.  I tested it with the secret alerts for a few days just to make sure before I went live with it.

I only set off the glass break sensor once. I dropped my electronic cigarette - the back came off and it dropped hard on my desk and made a very loud and sharp "metallicky" ping.  All of a sudden the alarm went off and I thought someone broke in and ran to get my piece, monitoring called right away and I'm on high alert but all was in order  -- and then I saw it was the glass break....lol

So new requests will inundate SS to add sensitivity switches to the glass-break sensors, better hide this post, LOL.
