Simplisafe Warranty Claim is Easy!

After all these years I'm filing out my first warranty claim.  My original camera from the Beta Test has always had a privacy door that sticks.  I never really cared because I leave it open all the time.  But then I bought 2 more cams on that killer Best Buy sale and those doors work flawlessly so I started thinking, maybe I might use them this way.  I emailed support to see if it was still covered as I couldnt remember how long I've had it and didn't feel like looking it up at the time (turns out it's 2 years old).  They replied back saying yes it was and to confirm what shipping address they should send a replacement to.  I gave it to them and it's on it's way.  I sent my first email last night after business hours and today I have a shipping label!  SS is paying return shipping on the old one AFTER I receive the new one.

Can't get any easier than that folks!

@drunkpenguin, those  originals had a documented weak spring mechanism and, in fact, just replaced my 2nd one just last week! Talk about timing.  Still ticked I missed that Best Buy sale.  I know a lot of folks that would have liked to buy Simplicams at that price!

It only lasted a couple days.  I wondered if it wasnt a typo.  Either way, I took advantage.  

One request I would have if SS is watching, now that I have more than 1 it would be nice to have the ability to stream from multicams at the same time during live view.  Maybe impractical on the phone app, but on a computer it would be nice for a quick check-in on the place.

@Captain - if I.remember correctly, SS had about a 15% discount on the SS2 system when the SS3 was released.  It looks like this sale is about 15%.  I am now a bit nervous that SS might actually pull of the release before midnight Saturday night.

@General, I think you know by now win or lose, I will make the donation.  For many reasons the Google Nest / Simplisafe combination looks very logical.  We only have 4 more days to wait for our bet.
