Simplisafe Smart Home integration

(This is probably asked and answered but I didn't see a search function in the forum to verify.)

Although having ability to arm/disarm through Google & Alexa is great. It would be so much more useful if the system and sensors were fully integrated into the smart ecosystems so users could create automation and IFTTT recipes (for example, turn on lights or devices if a sensor is triggered or if the alarm is armed or disarmed). Is this available? If not, is Simplisafe considering this level of integration into Google and Alexa?

Use google search with the "site:" keyword to search the SS forums.

It's been requested many times, but there is no solid indication they are working on it, nor is there any estimated time frame.

Thanks for the suggestion seven.

Really hope they continue to improve the functionality. I bought into the system based on the 3rd party review sites, but I will say the decision was not as easy as it may have been 5 years ago. Simplisafe's competitive margin is as slim as ever and smart home integration is one category where they are not leading the pack.

Does simplisafe have a hard wired smoke detector ?
I couldn't find one on shopping site
Most states require a hard wired smoke detector or/
a sealed battery detector good for 10 years.

Will Simplisafe sell a 1080p camera anytime soon ?
Most competitors have them.
Also, the current camera is huge compared to smaller ones available elsewhere
The only advantage with Simplecam is it is integrated into the system so video
can be sent to police saving valuable time.

No, their only smoke detector is battery powered and the battery is not sealed or 10 year.

I don't think video can be sent to the police.  You would have to access the video, download it to your computer, and send it to the police yourself.  Just like every other camera out there.

All the integration gets you is that any alarm event will trigger a recording.

SS won't tell you what they are working on, or when it will be available.  So until they have a 1080p camera, they don't have one and can't be considered to "ever" have one.  With SS, what you see is what you get, and often will ever get.
