Declining Service Level
As a longtime customer, I recently logged into the SimpliSafe website to temporarily suspend my C.O.P. monitoring services. However, SimpliSafe no longer offers a quick menu option for this service. In addition, they do not have a "Support" menu when you log into your account. I had to call a service number which took over 1 hour to respond (I assume, for they did not respond at the time of this post, it actually may be longer).
Has SimpliSafe gone corporate and unable to mange their growth? All I want to do is suspend C.O.P.S. monitoring for a few months, but if now feels like I am trying to cancel a cable subscription!! Their lack of support menu options appear as if they are evading their customers!
As a result, I actually withdrew my recommendation to a friend regarding SimpliSafe. I do not want my reputation damaged! I am disappointed with the current business model of SimpliSafe. Did they get bought out by a larger company?
FYI, I am still listening to the looped music and voice prompt for customer service. "Thanks for your call...you may press 5 at anytime to leave a message."
I will now be researching additional monitoring services.

On your other points,
-Simplisafe never offered an option at the website online to suspend monitoring. You always had to call.
-Can you explain further what you meant by calling a service number that took over 1 hour to respond. Do you mean for someone to answer the phone? Thanks

Just to clarify, if you are looking to cancel or suspend monitoring, or to take any action that changes your account, we do require that you give us a call at 1-888-957-4675 so that we can verbally confirm your Safe Word passcode. This has always been the case.
If you still need help, please let us know and we'll arrange for someone to reach out to take care of you.

Regardless of what Monitoring Plan you have active, you do have the ability to update your Credit Card online. On the new SimpliSafe Dashboard, you just need to head over to the Monitoring section from the ‚ò∞ Menu.
