Communication issue leading to frequent Motion Sensor Offline errors

The “Offline” or “Not Responding” error on your Keypad or the SimpliSafe™ App means that one of your components is having trouble communicating with the Base Station through local radio connection. There are a number of factors that can cause this issue, and we have content on the Help Center that can help you troubleshoot step by step.

 

If you have a Motion Sensor Gen 2, one other possible cause for frequent Offline errors is an issue with how the sensor communicates with the Base Station. The good news is that a fix for this issue has been included as part of system firmware 2.16. Head over to the Help Center for instructions on how to update your system to the latest version.
