trouble with referral-no credit for referral

Anyone else having trouble receiving the free month of monitoring promised with the referral link? I purchased a system and have monitoring. My daughter purchased a system for her apartment and has monitoring. I used the referral link to help her purchase her system. I have tried to contact them about this via email but get no help. Any suggestions?

Hi twilamarsh,

The important thing is that in order for the referral link to work, the referred person needs to purchase their system using the embedded promo code. If your daughter decided to purchase using the current site discount (which is sometimes better than the referral discount - so I wouldn't blame her!), that will use a different promo code, so your referral bonus won't be automatically applied.

But that's just the machine part of the referral program. Of course, our Support team is more than happy to just apply the bonus to your account manually!

I would call customer service and they should be able to help you.  Although it has been several years ago, I received the free month monitoring for a referral.
